Xcolibur is the layout/style/theme whatever the hell you call it that was the default way back when I started using LJ in 2004. I liked it -- and got used to it -- and I've been using it ever since. There are all kinds of things it doesn't let you do, but I don't care about any of those features, so it's never been a problem.

Ah, well. The only constant is change, right? I just don't have to like it. *g*

Remember when there used to be a thing called the "learning curve," back before a change was so unexpected and so drastic that prior knowledge isn't applicable to present circumstances.? *grumbles*

OMG I KNOW. No kidding. This, so much this.

This is the main reason I'm glad I'm not working in IT any more. Even in my era (mainframes transitioning into client/server) it was a lot of work to keep up. But at least you could. And like you say, the knowledge and experience you walked in with were relevant and useful in learning the new stuff.

Hmph.
