Once upon a time I read someone's rec for The Least of All Possible Mistakes, a Sherlock (BBC) fic by Rageprufrock, and since she's usually terrific, I downloaded it and plunked it onto my Kindle, and then promptly got distracted and read a bunch of other things and forgot all about it.

Then yesterday I was poking through my Kindle to see what I hadn't read yet, and hey, coolness, a nice long fic by a good writer, yay! I dove into it and found it utterly delightful, and I was all kinds of happy until suddenly I had a horrible premonition that it might just possibly end up in a threesome including Holmes!cest, which would make me all kinds of wretched (possibly including actual retching), incest being a Very Not Okay thing for me to read.

So I pop immediately back to the header info and see that the author has chosen not to warn, and the author has also chosen not to include any pairing info. Under Categories it says "M/F" and also "Multi" which is just vague enough to tell me pretty much nothing.

All of which is leading up to my request: Have any of you lovely people read this fic? If it ends up including an incest pairing or even hints of it, would you be so kind as to let me know so I don't end up in an unhappy place?

And yes, I know I could ask the author, but no. Some authors are fine with that, but others... let's just say they don't take kindly to it. So when an author chooses not to follow fannish convention and deliberately withholds information that is almost universally present in fic headers, I assume they've done it for a reason, and that if they wanted readers to have that information, they would have provided it in the first place. Which, okay, is understandable; maybe they've written it in such a way that the plot development hangs on the reader not knowing which way certain things are going to go, who's going to pair up with who, or whatever. But that still leaves me not knowing if this story is safe for me to read, and so I turn to y'all.
