1) I have died and gone to heaven. There are SIX HOURS of Olympic equestrian cross-country footage that I can watch any time I like, online replay on demand. And the same is true or will be true of all the other equestrian events. I would have paid a lot of money for this, whether or not I could afford it, but instead I can watch for free. I am boggling with joy.
2) This CBC news story and the accompanying photo should be a due South fic prompt: Photo of hot air balloon in Arctic up for award.
3) My awesomely upgraded desktop computer has a VERY LOUD motherboard fan, which makes podfic recording really difficult. It's not even consistent, so it could fade into ignorable (if undesirable) background white noise. No, it does this turbo whine thing, constantly revving up and slowing back down whenever I do absolutely anything at all. And it was graciously, generously, and ever so painstakingly built for me by friend Dan the Man, so I don't even have yelling rights, even though I stressed to him over and over that my number one criterion for the upgrades was that everything be as quiet as possible. ARGH. I'm sure I'll figure something out, somehow, but at the moment I am frustrated and vexed.
How are you? What's making you happy today? What's vexing you? Who does your brain put in that hot air balloon?
