My DVR chopped off the last minute(s) of yesterday's episode ("Unfinished Business"), right in the middle of an important scene. Cut for spoiler ) Can anybody tell me what I missed? Halp?

As for the show itself, it's not bad. I'm irked by Henry the wise, laconic Indian who doesn't use contractions (seriously, show? really? I don't care if it's written that way in the book canon; it's fucked up and you should fix it) -- which is to say, I'm irked by the way his dialog is written; I like Henry himself -- but other than that, I'm finding it reasonably smart, dramatically chewy, and watchable, and the cast (including Katee Sackhoff) is great. I'm pleased that it's going to get a second season.

This is a lovely interview with Mark Knopfler about his new "Privateering" CD (to be released in September) with previews of several of the songs, discussion of his songwriting process and where some of the inspiration came from for this record. I like him very much. It's lovely when you can enjoy the musician as much as the music. :-)
