For when you have a few minutes and want to play a bit:
The Great Language Game
Listen to 20-second spoken-word audio clips and try to identify the language. It's multiple choice, so easier than you might think.
I did considerably better than I'd expected and was interested to find that rhythm and pitch gave me a lot of clues. I've yet to break 500, though.

Have you ever played Geoguessr? http://geoguessr.com/
It's kind of the visual equivalent. I find that road striping helps me a lot. :D

I have tried Geoguessr, but only once so far; I got terribly frustrated by an empty road in the middle of nowhere. I need to try again. It may or may not work for me... I'm incredibly text-based or at least language-based in my thinking. Images are a very foreign language for me, and it takes a lot of work to figure out what they're supposed to mean.

I got Scottish Gaelic one time. Very cool to hear it spoken.
I kept tripping up when I had to choose among various eastern European languages. I got nothin'. *g*
