malnpudl at 06:14pm on 21/11/2012Be forewarned: Tab Mix Plus is "incompatible" with Firefox 17.0 and therefore disabled if you upgrade. Which takes away most of what I like best about Firefox. So don't apply the Firefox 17.0 update unless you're willing to do without Tab Mix Plus.
Now I have to figure out how to get myself out of "beta channel" (whatever that may be) on my desktop computer -- apparently Dan the Man decided I should have it and signed me up when he built my system (he was wrong) -- and somehow get back to the previous 16.whatever version of Firefox because damn it, my universe is disordered and I am not okay with this. /vent
In other news: At the moment it's a non-issue, or at least a delayed one, because as usual the wee Acer notebook and I are spending the extended holiday at my local BFF's place looking after Indy Anna Jane. Herself will turn TEN tomorrow, which is pretty damn miraculous since she was born with a trachea that's less than 1/4 the diameter it should be, and so has been at risk for breathing problems of all sorts her whole life. But our Indy is a rebel, and she apparently includes fate in her list of things against which she chooses to rebel (fate doesn't give treats or tummy rubs, so its opinions do not interest her), and has now lived longer than any of Suzi's other Rotties. It's entirely fitting that we will celebrate her 10th birthday on Thanksgiving. She will get the odd table scrap in her dinner, plus a truly awesome and impressively large liver-cheese-and-bacon dog cookie. It'll be quite the occasion, if you are Indy.
What are y'all USians doing for the holiday? Celebrating or ignoring? Cooking or eating other people's cooking? Or both?
I'm on my own, but more often than not one of Suzi's neighbors will bring me a plate at some point. There are some nice things about intimate little neighborhoods; mostly the good outweighs the not so great, at least most of the time.

Dad officially confessed that he'd like to get a dog, but won't, because he and Ma like to dash off on short adventures and they don't want to have to leave a dog behind. My offer to dog-sit was appreciated, but did not sway the argument. I got this close to being auntie to a bouncy Springer Spaniel, or maybe a jaunty little King Charles. Some sort of spaniel, anyway. I honestly would not have cared which. Poop. Give young Jane some extra scritches from me, will ya? :)
